In 2015 at 19 she debuted her first single Here. The song was an instant success and was praised by critics and listeners alike. It reached number 19 in both Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone listed the song as one of top Songs in 2015. The same year, she dropped her debut album Know It All with the third track Scars to Your Beautiful being one of five original tracks that peaked at Billboard charts. This includes those of the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. The track was distinctive due to the fact that many listeners were able to relate to the interview she did with rapper Rap-Up on her journey in learning to love and accept her. Cara has earned a name for incorporating messages about the importance of mental health, kindness and self-love into her music. Every song Cara sings comes directly from her struggles with mental illness, insomnia as well as other problems. Reuters said that she described the album "half tumultuous, half perfected". The growth of her career was helped by a therapy. She encourages others who need help to ask for support. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th of July 1996. Her first guitar was purchased from her parents at the time she turned 10 which ignited her passion for music. Three years later, when she was 13, she began singing her most loved songs through YouTube. It proved to be a fantastic opportunity to show others the fact that she had the talent and the courage. Sweater Weather was her most famous song. The record label EP Entertainment EP Entertainment, noticed her and allowed her to write songs.
