Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada and is American. She has released over 20 albums. Her music is classified as folk rock and alternative rock but has additional elements of punk, funk, hip beat and jazz. Ani Difranco is recognized as an icon of music that is feminist. In 1990 she was one of the first artists to create her own label independently. DiFranco's parents were Elizabeth (Ross), a former student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each the other when they were both attending. Her father is Italian descent, and her mother comes from Montreal. 32 Flavors is a hit song composed and performed by Ani DiFranco. She was 14 when she began to compose her own music. She continued to perform them in bar and cafes in her teens.
