She was born to Susan Duff & Robert Erhard Duff. The Duffs' sister Haylie Duff was her older sister. Hilary started travelling with her sibling from the age of eight in the Cecchetti Ballet when she was just a little girl. Hilary was able to begin her acting career when realizing that ballet was her passion. Her first professional acting role came in 1998 in Casper Meets Wendy. Her main role as Wendy was her first of several. Her first big performance, one that we adored while growing up, was Duff as Lizzie McGuire in the Lizzie McGuire film series.
